Description Giovani M. Faccin 2011-06-20 18:36:00 UTC
When performing an emerge --update --newuse --deep @world -pv, I get this error:

emerge: there are no ebuilds built with USE flags to satisfy "x11-libs/libX11[xcb]".
!!! One of the following packages is required to complete your request:
- x11-libs/libX11-1.4.3 (Missing IUSE: xcb)
- x11-libs/libX11-1.4.1 (Missing IUSE: xcb)
(dependency required by "x11-wm/compiz-0.8.6" [installed])
(dependency required by "x11-wm/emerald-0.8.4-r1" [installed])
(dependency required by "x11-themes/emerald-themes-0.5.2" [installed])

However the xcb use flag does not exist for the libX11 package.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install compiz-fusion
2. emerge --update --newuse --deep @world -pv
3.
Actual Results:
Emerge --update --newuse --deep @world fails complaining about an use flag that does not exist.

Expected Results:
The x11-libs/libX11 should have a "xcb" use flag associated with it.

Given that 0.8.6 ebuild was removed about three months ago...

If you're mixing, check your package.keywords.
