This does not happen on glibc-2.13 obviously.

works fine for me. once again, no `emerge --info`, so i'm just going to have to assume you're building with USE=kerberos.

This is _not_ with USE=kerberos, so I wonder how can it work for you. Did you try building something against libtirpc yet? Stuff runs fine as long as the symbols are not requested.

Same problem here while I am try to fix media-radio/hamlib (buf #370381).

I am experiencing a related problem.
Even though libtirpc appears to compile and install ok, the undefined references in libtirpc are causing net-fs/nfs-utils to fail during the configure phase.

From build.log :

I also ran into this bug when trying to get nfs-utils installed on a lilblue (gentoo harened+uclibc+xfce4) system.

Please find attached a working patch that fixes this problem as far as linking rpcbind to libtirpc is concerned. This makes installing nfs-utils in uclibc environments achievable.

Comment 7 Joshua Kinard gentoo-dev 2017-07-05 11:12:27 UTC
This should be fixed in libtirpc-1.0.1-r2 in ~arch by backporting several patches from upstream git and rolling two custom patches (which I'll send upstream once I write something up for their ML).
