I'm running from the 1.3a tarball, and winex doesn't use the cflags I defined.

it's not supposed to.

have look in the ebuild itself, and you'll see a comment from the ebuild
maintainer as to why.

essentially things won't build right, if you don't use their cflags.

But, as you know... Linux kernel developers say the same about building the
kernel with gcc3.1 for example. A lot of projects say that. We should ignore
them, or at least have the option to do so. (USE=forceoptimize, a different
ebuild for optimization... don't know... something).
