There are no ebuilds for the tool found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/idle3-tools/ However one can be made with the 'default' compile/make/install type steps. Experimental .ebuild files have been created, and the resulting binary works. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Check equery list -o -p idle3-tools 2. Finds Nothing 3. Make own ebuild... Actual Results: No ebuild in the portage tree or elsewhere... Expected Results: The ebuild should be present in the unstable branch at least... The idle3-tools work, correctly and even seem to install in the right place. This is a very useful tool that should be present part of portage/gentoo. Its trivial to make an ebuild for, even I (a rank noobie) made a functional one that compiled and worked correctly. (Gentoo i686 GCC 4.3 ? ish...)
I'm also very interested. @jdel9@yahoo.ca: could you provide your ebuild so I can also use the idle3-tool and test it on amd64? I already use(d) this tool on my DiskStation, see http://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=124&t=37967 Thanks.
