Description Amit Pansare 2003-12-09 22:54:54 UTC
As we have shown that pptpclient can be configured while installing, I guess it should be added in Chapter 10: Optinal Network Tools

USE="crypt" emerge -p --verbose pptpclient

I am not sure if the emerge -k pptpclient can be used or not.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

There are no prebuilt pptpclient packages available yet; I'll ask to include those in the next release.

I believe users should also be using
  USE="-tcltk" emerge pptpclient
because otherwise XFree and other big builds will be included...
Comment 2 Amit Pansare 2003-12-10 10:24:07 UTC
Yes, you are right. Its better to USE="-tcltk". Also USE="crypt" is necessary for those who require mppe support, or else crypt can be excluded too.

I'm marking this as LATER, let us first see if 2004.1 has pptpclient support again because it seems like there were some mockups in 2004.0...

Closing this bug as per Josh's request in gentoo-doc's ML.
