--enable-schema-mapping \ --enable-rfc2307bi
ssrit, pardon my ignorance, but what do these two config flags do?
hahah i must have been half asleep when I bugged that. schema-mapping allows you to change the authentication fields being used by mapping on ldap field onto another. So, instead of using password, it will use otherpassword, if you tell it to. rfc2307bi ... I dont know what it does... The --enable-rfc2307bis flag is required for any nss_ldap version after 172 (Red Hat 7.2 uses 172 so this flag is not needed). I was using nss_ldap to connect to windows active directory (blegh), and it was required... my guess is it just enables support for stuff described in an rfc.
ok, upgraded in portage. Thanks for that :)
