conky 1.8.1 with provided configuration

I can not reproduce your problem here. For the attached screenshot I used conky 1.8.1 and the configuration file which you have attached. After commenting out some lines where you refer to local files which I obviously don't have, the result looks okay besides the customized icons on the left side.

Comment 6 Grzegorz Golec 2010-10-19 21:02:10 UTC
Yeah, I tried reproduce as a new user without rest of the config files. Seems to work fine if you comment #HD section. There is problem. I don't know python, so I'm not able to say why new conky's version interprets the same config incorrectly.

I attached rest of the config files. Just unpack to ~/. Section #HD uses: {execpi 30 ~/.conkycolors/bin/conkyHD4} which finally leads to ~/.conky-colors/scripts/conkyHD1.py

If you don't find cause there I give up.
If you need some other info/files let me know.
thanks!

I guess the print statements in this script which are responsible for showing the available disk space for the root and conditionally the home and all filesystems mounted below /media do mess something up which causes the misplaced stuff afterwards.

You can easily copy the parts withing the 'print ""' statements from the script, adjust them and place them where the script is called instead.

I was able to move this code partialy to config and part works fine. Anyway it is some workaround only. Honestly it's easier for me masked package and use older one. Everything looked as should there.

Please take a look into changelog, maybe some commit causes this problem.

Otherwise I suggest WONTFIX.

The way the $execp stuff works got tweaked a bit in 1.8.1. I'm not entirely sure whether this is a bug or a feature. Could go either way.

I don't think I will support third party scripts. Bug the creator of these scripts instead.
