ruby-gnome2 0.19.4 has been in the tree for 3 months. It has bug fixes and compatibility fixes for the currently stable gnoem version. It it also the only version that properly works with the already stable xulrunner-1.9.2

I had to add 3 additional to the list to get past the  Missing IUSE: ruby_targets_ruby18 ;
dev-ruby/rcairo ~x86
dev-ruby/ruby-opengl ~x86
dev-ruby/mkrf ~x86

All good x86.
