The QEmu Initscript is an init script for QEmu designed to make it easy to manage QEmu virtual machines on a Gentoo hypervisor easy. Each virtual machine runs as a system service which can be configured and controlled individually. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge qemu-initscript Actual Results: No ebulid is found Expected Results: # emerge qemu-initscript Calculating dependencies... done! >>> Verifying ebuild manifests >>> Emerging (1 of 1) app-emulation/qemu-initscript-1.0.0.0 * qemu-initscript-1.0.0.0.tar.gz RMD160 SHA1 SHA256 size ;-) ... Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Markos. i just have a hard time seeing what this brings to the table over something like http://virt-manager.org/. that at least is "standardized" and have a fairly big following & support community. certainly if a random dev wanted to pick this up, we wouldn't stop them. but i don't think the qemu group is interested.
qemu-initscript is not actively being developed and libvirt is an effective replacement.
