Today, I downloaded Intelli JIdea, and I found that it's free for linux. It's a exceptionally great developing enviroment, with the support of many language, server, debugging, highlighting, etc... I think it would be great for Idea and Gentoo too :) thanks, for your time :) (http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/)
java team: you maybe interested in this? Great to hear that IntelliJ is free now, pity that the open-source version is so stripped down.
is this the bug for the community edition or a dup of bug #87419 (which seems to be the ultimate edition)?
I've found an ebuild over here: http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=user/eatnumber1.git;a=blob;f=dev-util/idea-community/idea-community-9.0.1.93.94.ebuild;h=2bf75fa0923b8755f22b6d4afc7df27bbfc7fea5;hb=21e7edd8910f87937a6e53dd858ebb6444dbfcf0 Maybe someone can change the summary to reflect the community edition?
Created attachment 253085 [details] idea-community-9.0.3.95.429.ebuild ebuild for the newest version
9.0.4 released Renaming into idea-community-9.0.4.95.627.ebuild works
Created attachment 256827 [details] Ebuild for idea-10 Idea-10 released.
Idea 10.0.1.99.32 released. renaming idea-community-9.0.3.95.429.ebuild (version 9!) works.
10.0.0.2 with build no. 103.72 released
Rename to idea-community-10.0.2.103.72.ebuild works for me so far.
In order to hit main portage tree, this should (I think): 1. Get rid of bundled dependencies 2. Build from source 3. Install to /usr
Bump-rename for current version idea-community-10.0.3.103.255.ebuild works for me. (In reply to comment #10) > In order to hit main portage tree, this should (I think): > 1. Get rid of bundled dependencies > 2. Build from source > 3. Install to /usr Marat is correct - if I were a Java person, I'd attempt to do that. :( Can't someone take up the mantle?
Added initial ebuild (based on dev-util/idea) for 10.0.3 to java-experimental overlay
Bumped to 10.5, in java-experimental overlay
Dup of #87419
No, it isn't a dupe. This bug is about Community Edition (and much more likely to hit main tree because can be built from source), #87419 is about Ultimate Edition (and much less likely to get out of overlay).
It's been 3 years (5 since the first post) - is there still any interest in getting this in portage? fw-overlay (layman) seems to have up-to-date ebuilds.
Pardon, fw-overlay seems to have ebuilds for the ultimate edition. open-overlay holds functional ebuilds for the community edition.
I've been working around this indefinitely using a combination of overlay ebuilds and my own local version bump edits when needed.
