Description Alexander 2009-12-30 07:50:19 UTC
squidGuard returning only "\n" in reply, but should return the url.
squidGuard.conf(minimal):
acl {
    default {
        pass all
    }
}

Example:
# squidGuard -d
2009-12-30 09:56:42 [27317] squidGuard 1.4 started (1262156202.938)
2009-12-30 09:56:42 [27317] squidGuard ready for requests (1262156202.939)
http://saini.co.in 172.17.8.175/saini.co.in - GET -
2009-12-30 09:56:50 [27317] source not found
2009-12-30 09:56:50 [27317] no ACL matching source, using default

Running with strace (full stack trace in additional information):
# strace squidGuard
...
read(0, http://saini.co.in 172.17.8.175/saini.co.in - GET -
"http://saini.co.in 172.17.8.175/s"..., 1024) = 52
fstat64(1, {st_mode=S_IFCHR|0620, st_rdev=makedev(136, 3), ...}) = 0
mmap2(NULL, 4096, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0xb80b5000
write(1, "\n"..., 1
)                    = 1
read(0,

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
squidGuard should return url "http://saini.co.in" instead of new line ("\n").

Comment 2 Amos Jeffries 2011-11-19 01:44:56 UTC
This report is wrong.

The helper return result of "\n" has meaning to Squid that the URL has not been changed. It is the expected and correct output from "pass all".
