I have been getting this type of error daily, somewhere in the middle of the night (local time GMT+1). Now, however, I keep getting errors every time.

Sorry mate. I was cleaning up the mirror-admin queue last night and mistakenly deleted yours.

What I did:
- Restored access to albatross from gentoo.snt.utwente.nl (130.89.149.23)
- Restored DNS entry for rsync2.nl, rsync.nl & rsync.europe

You should be set, and I apologize.
