They came out with a new version not too long ago, after a long time of nothing. I made an ebuild for it, and added a teensy patch for my version of a supported lcd so it works right. One thing I'm not sure how to resolve is that they changed their naming scheme, and making the ebuild follow the scheme makes Portage order it as an older version than the ones it supercedes. 0.9.11 is out
Guess I'll update this one. Any suggestions for the naming, though? This one was 0.9.10, new one is 0.9.11, the old ones (still in Portage) were 0.98. My solution when I made this ebuild was to delete the old ones out of hand.
transmogrify the version to the old version scheme -- when 0.98 is out of portage (And 0911 is stable), then we can mask 0911 and "release" 0.9.11
Well, I wrote a transmogrified ebuild, but it seems the new version has a problem with my lcd so I'm checking with the lcd4linux author to see what's up. Also, it seemed to be acting screwy about downloading my patch when I had the filename a certain way, but I changed the filename and then it worked fine. So I guess the ebuild is slightly on-hold til I talk to the author of the software. One more thing, seems like the older ebuilds I used to template this started putting the config file in /etc/lcd4linux/, which isn't the default place - it won't read from there unless you tell it to. Think it would be a good idea for me to write an init.d script for lcd4linux? Otherwise you'd be sticking it in local.start
0.9.10 is in cvs
0.10.0-RC1 is out!
0.10 is out !
This is the ebuild for the 0.10 version of lcd4linux. The changes are: 1. Updated the homepage (the new one is http://ssl.bulix.org/projects/lcd4linux/) 2. Removed the obsolete pda USE 3. Bump to 0.10 version 4. Added lcd4linux init script
