Description Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-16 14:45:55 UTC
Sometimes one do not need to unpack the complete archive if only a part is needed. QT already does this.
I have a package in the sci overlay which I splitt into several parts to be able to update/patch each part seperatly. The whole complete thing is unpacked around 800mb and some of the packages just need 5mb out of it. Here it would be really helpfull just to unpack those parts.
