splite: When you get a chance, you have to take a short questionnaire that basically tries to make sure you keep in mind the most important things when working in Gentoo's tree. Answers can be found in documentation, particularly in the developer docs section of the site, and http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/new-dev-training.xml - or drop me an e-mail if you can't find something. seemant: Has procedure for adding new developers changed any recently with the CVS move? Are we still not using ldap and therefore need to add people to both dev and cvs?
Didn't get back to me, haven't heard from him in a while.
I'm still around, I've just been too busy deploying Gentoo on x86 (~120 machines converted so far) to do any IA-64 work. (I also recently "inherited" a group of about 30 abandoned Red Hat users that need Gentooification.) My Itaniums are still running my bodged-up ebuilds, but I hope to migrate them over to the real portage tree in the next couple weeks.
Ah, okay. Can you do me a favor and get in touch with agriffis if/when you feel like working on Gentoo/IA-64? He's the new IA-64 lead and can tell you what needs work.
