Stefan is practically a member of the team for a while now, and has been a padawan for a long time. He has editbug privs since 2008-10, see bug 244992. Let's finally make him a dev. Name: Stefan Behte Nickname: craig Location: Düsseldorf, Germany As a security developer on probation, he just needs an account on woodpecke. No CVS commit rights needed yet.
Sorry for the delay. We really need more people. I will be your recruiter. Please send your quiz to recruiters@gentoo.org when approved by your mentor. Always add a comment to this bug when you send something to that address. When the quiz is sent please contact me by IRC or email to schedule the first review session. If you think that recruiters aren't paying attention to this bug at any later point in time, it's your job to ping us on IRC if you don't want any delays.
I've sent the quiz right now and will try to make contact in IRC.
What we did: - LDAP - bugzilla - no groups on cvs.gentoo.org as requested - IRC-cloak - sent you your LDAP/mail password via encrypted mail TODO: - announcement - gentoo-core What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forums count) - send yourself mail to create .maildir - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located - set gentooIM if you want people to be able to contact you via other means than email - If you want a blog on blogs.gentoo.org, contact planet@gentoo.org For the mentor: - You are also responsible for the commits of your recruit during the first month so you should watch the commits of your recruit via gentoo-commits mailing list.
Added to -core now. please ping on IRC in ADDITION to the bug (I think this one got lost when we had the minor bugzilla non-mailing happening).
(In reply to comment #3) > > TODO: > - announcement > - gentoo-core > Both now done.
@security, is Craig still active? Last Bugzilla activity: Nov 2015 Last GLSA with his name on it: Dec 2014 Also, for the future, any other suggestions on what should be monitored for activity of security team members?
I haven't done much in recent years, but some stuff does not show in your statistics: I did some minor genkernel iscsi bugfixing in 2016, and sometimes some cvetool work. Monitoring git repos and cvetool for activity would be a good idea. But I've grown tired of managing an endless flow of security patches some while ago, and have been pretty idle. Formally retiring was on my TODO-list for 2018. Please feel free to do so.
We will give him the usual 15 days to reconsider
infra please proceed
