Freedoom 0.6.4 has come out since this bug was reported. Additionally I noticed the following problems with the ebuild: * Doomsday does not support Freedoom. It does not have the Boom features required to run Freedoom. Dependency should be changed to prboom * ebuild does not compile Freedoom from the tarball, but rather the precompiled version. No big deal, but doesn't it compromise the spirit of Gentoo? ;) * Should be a freedoom-9999 ebuild to build from the latest master branch revision.
Thanks for your comments! Nice to see somebody is interested in (free)doom on gentoo. I'll update the ebuild asap.
Created attachment 195693 [details] new ebuild for freedoom-0.6.4 This ebuild pulls in deutex (wad composer) as dependency and build freedoom from Source. Is not 100% working right now - not sure why "Error: Can't find Lump or picture file ./lumps/playpal.wad." is thrown by deutex. Happens only in Sandbox. Will investigate. Further I vote for a new USE flag prboom to replace/extend the doomsday use flag, because doomsday is masked and prboom is not. - Where is the correct place to do this? Tested this freedoom ebuild only with prboom.
