If enabled, 69-odofonts.conf from opendesktop-fonts ebuild can cause certain text to be missing in some flash animations, e.g. http://blog.hamstu.com/slideshows/helvetica/helvetica.swf (random example found through google; the original flash animation where I encountered this problem belongs to a site that requires registration).

This seems to be caused by the 2 <match target="pattern"> blocks for serif and sans-serif. If I comment them out, I can see the text again.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. eselect fontconfig enable 69-odofonts.conf
2. go to http://blog.hamstu.com/slideshows/helvetica/helvetica.swf
3. no text

Demo URL for reproducer looks like it's gone. With Flash being what it is, can we still reproduce this? Does anything else that renders fonts suffer from this issue?
