also please note that both gnome upstream and gnome herd to not really support optimization level above -O2. Please get back to us.

Since then the nautilus preview of inkscape svg files works properly on my amd64 laptop. This evening I'll look for it on my x86 Desktop which has an currently updated Gnome stable. Thanks, ervin
