Description Alexey Parshin 2009-01-15 20:41:49 UTC
Applications that use libfprint (fprint_demo,pam_fprint) work only one time per session (since boot or return from hibernate). Any consequent attempt to run them after the first time causes an error:

aes2501:error [do_write_regv] bulk write error -2
fp:error [fp_dev_open] device initialisation failed, driver=aes2501

This doesn't happen with 2.6.27 and prior kernels.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot
2. Login using pam_fprint, or use fprint_demo once.
3. Repeat step 2.

Actual Results:
aes2501:error [do_write_regv] bulk write error -2
fp:error [fp_dev_open] device initialisation failed, driver=aes2501

Expected Results:
Successful login, or successful use of device in fprint_demo.
