I just installed the exaile for gentoo using emerge, but I wasn't able to run it as a normal user. Intresting. I've got, ssuominen@unique ~ $ qlist -CIv exaile gst-plugins-neon media-plugins/gst-plugins-neon-0.10.9 media-sound/exaile-0.2.14 which works fine. Your version information tells 0.2.13? Also, it's likely a permission problem in your home directory.
Maybe backup your ~/.exaile and try again. Upgrade your plugins, and exaile. Check permissions.
