I'm requesting s51dude to be included in portage. It has been already added to Debian Sid. s51dude is an In-System programming tool specifically designed to be used with the usbtinyisp board and the Atmel's 8051 family of micrcontrollers. This program is intended to cover the need of the 8051 developer who wants to program the devices with computers without parallel or serial port. The only alternative left is to use the USB port. That is when you will need s51dude. Reproducible: Always

I add Daniel Black to the CC as he is the avrdude maintainer.
Created attachment 168216 [details] dev-embedded/s51dude-0.1.3 Forgot to set the PREFIX in the previous ebuild.
Lucas, thanks for the ebuild submission! I changed the title because you are not requesting someone else write the ebuild, but have already written one yourself. I'm assigning to dev-embedded team, in case any of them have an 8051 board. If not, they will reassign to "maintainer-wanted" and you are encouraged to add this ebuild to sunrise overlay http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise
Created attachment 168304 [details] dev-embedded/s51dude-0.2.0 Yesterday I had more free time than usual and made a new release. It is now necessary to set the PREFIX during build, so I added the src_compile() function.
(In reply to comment #4) Wormo, Thanks for the replay, I'm now going to look into the sunrise overlay.
I forgot to mention that besides having a 8051 board, in order to test this program you would need to have the usbtinyisp programmer, as described in the project homepage. There you can find schematics, PCB and bill of materials for this board. Lucas
I don't have an 8051 system, and I don't know what the status is on the other embedded members. Safest bet is to put it into Sunrise for the time being.
This is now in the sunrise overlay. You can find it at: http://overlays.gentoo.org/svn/proj/sunrise/sunrise/dev-embedded/s51dude/
Comment on attachment 168304 [details] dev-embedded/s51dude-0.2.0 The latest version of the ebuild is in the sunrise overlay.
Neither HOMEPAGE, nor SRC_URI do respond. Freshmeat project page doesn't specify another one nor new releases. If you're interested in keeping the package in Sunrise, please contact upstream (and mirror the distfile if necessary). Otherwise, I will schedule it for being masked for removal.
The package has been removed from the Sunrise overlay.
