When you try it again, does it fail in exactly the same line?

Please post `emerge --info' too and tell us which version of which sys-kernel/*-sources you're using.

kernel version is "2.6.25-gentoo-r6"
Comment 6 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2008-07-24 17:26:24 UTC
Can you test with gentoo-sources-2.6.26?
Comment 7 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-28 20:47:18 UTC
This looks to be kernel-related and not related to our release media.

I'd be suspect of the hardware on the machine, given that you're getting segmentation faults in the compiler. Were there a software bug in the compiler, we would have likely hit it compiling the countless pre-release versions or during any of our testing, which leads me to believe that it is more specific to your hardware or configuration.
Comment 8 Mike Pagano gentoo-dev 2008-08-04 14:34:29 UTC
Feel free to reopen if it's still a problem and you have had a chance to reproduce on 2.6.26.
