Description Gerard Saraber 2002-05-01 21:06:10 UTC
Hi,
I've attached ferite.tar.gz which contains ferite-0.99.4.ebuild.

ferite is a scripting language and engine all in one managable chunk. It is
designed to be easily extended in terms of API, and to be used within other
applications making them more configurable and useful to the end user. It has a
syntax similiar to a number of other langauges but remains clean and it's own
language. ( from the about page: http://www.ferite.org/about.html)

(Enlightenment 0.17 uses ferite)

This ebuild does not work. Please upload a fixed version.
Comment 3 Gerard Saraber 2002-05-20 12:59:04 UTC
Can you be more specific? it works for me.
I'm guessing i might have missed a dependency, a more specific error message
would be very helpfull
Comment 4 Bart Lauwers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-05-20 13:48:46 UTC
Sure the problem so far is that the ebuild doesn't fetch the source. Also which
category do you see this going into? dev-lang?

I get:
20:43:49 (28.48 KB/s) - `/usr/portage/distfiles/ferite-0.99.4.tar.gz' saved [8604]

!!! Couldn't download ferite-0.99.4.tar.gz. Aborting.
!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/dev-lang/ferite/ferite-0.99.4.ebuild .

ah right i'll see if i can get you an updated ebuild this evening with the
correct url...
Yes i've had it in dev-lang in my tree, seems the most appropriate, it's a with
a syntax somewhere between C and Java.
Comment 6 Gerard Saraber 2002-05-20 16:08:47 UTC
ah found the problem - sourceforge changed their download site to some mirror
system after i submitted the ebuild... the correct url should be:
http://telia.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/ferite/ferite-0.99.4.tar.gz
