Hi, currently the standard answer to the user for enhancements or bug reports concerning software packages it to contact "upstream" which means "Don't bother us, but the project itself!". The drawback of that behavior is the user reporting a bug enhancement has to contact (mailing list, bugzilla, forum) dozens of projects and developers, which often do not pay attention to that nobody. So I want to suggest to introduce "Upstream maintainers" bundling upstream requests and keeping in contact with the developers in charge of projects. It will make a huge difference at the projects whether a nobody ask for bugfixes/enhancements or a Gentoo maintainer ... ;) Best regards, Renne Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Go and propose it on the gentoo-dev mailing list. This isn't the right place for such a proposal.
