Description Jerry McDonald 2008-05-16 20:10:59 UTC
The OCF/heartbeat IPaddr2 resource requires the sys-apps/iproute2 package (specifically /sbin/ip) in order to function. If you create a resource of this type, without the iproute2 package present, the resource will be unusable, appearing as "Unmanaged" on all cluster members, with errors in the logs such as:

May 16 14:14:41 dmz2 IPaddr2[31304]: ERROR: /sbin/ip not found.

Please add sys-apps/iproute2 dependency to all current ebuilds.

Since iproute2 is now part of the @system set, do we still need to do
this? If not, can we close this bug?

I think that this bug is about heartbeat-2.x , this version was removed from tree some time ago.
