Description Carlos Eberhardt 2002-01-18 11:06:38 UTC
During an 'emerge --world update' the build of kde-base failed because mesa
needed to be updated first. It was scheduled to be built, just a fair bit after
kde-base. I emerged mesa separately and then ran 'emerge --world update' again
and the kde-base build was successful.

can you give more info? What version of mesa was installed before? I think
that kde depends on virtual/opengl so I don't know if there is an easy fix for
this besides masking out bogus mesa ebuilds.

Sorry, no info about the pre-existing mesa. I just finished cleaning everything
up. Wish I could remember. I do remember that it was a screensaver that was
failing. Not that helpful, I suppose. Pretty minor bug, IMO. Just wanted to let
you know about it, in case it was related to the new --world update stuff with
portage.

OK, I'm marking this as WONTFIX since I think it was a one-time occurence.
