Description horea_christian 2008-04-27 10:04:49 UTC
I have successfully unmasked the gnome 2.22.0 meta-package with all it's deps and am trying to get it installed with emerge -vaDNu world. Most of it worked ok, but it hangs at the gnome-applets package, giving a compile failure message.

Someone suggested I try and emerge it with -doc, but it made no difference.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unmask the gnome 2.22 meta package
2. sync
3. run emerge -vaDNu world

Actual Results:
same error, same place

Similar bug report in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=476668

They think that should be fixed in >=2.22.1, have you tested it?
Comment 3 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-27 20:06:14 UTC
please try 2.22.1
