$PORTTREE/net-dns/pdnsd/files/pdnsd.resolvconf has several calls to the function "uniqify" which is not contained in /etc/init.d/functions.sh on baselayout-2.
I don't know about where "uniqify" is installed, however I updated to baselayout-2 and now my resolv.conf is not auto-updated with the error message: /sbin/resolvconf: line203: uniqify: command not found /sbin/resolvconf: line93: uniqify: command not found /etc/resolvconf/update.d/libc: line27: uniqify: command not found /etc/resolvconf/update.d/libc: line73: uniqify: command not found just before config_eth0=( "dhcpcd" ) runs and then just before config_eth0=( "192.168.99.1/24" ) runs. As a general workaround, and because I happen to know the dns servers I use, I have hand written resolv.conf.

Bug 218031 had a solution. In my book, this is more important than anything else.
