We are experiencing some hardware issues with the our mirror server. As a result we've temporarily disabled access to the affected directories, which are all but distfiles and snapshots. Portage rsync services remains available. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.get mirrored files from mirror.gentoo.no 2. 3. We are working on resolving the issue as soon as possible.
We have decided to switch machine (and datacenter) for this service since the hardware issue is not going to be resolved (replaced). Hence we need to update DNS entries and allow the new IP in on the master mirror. mirror.gentoo.{no|se} Old IP: 129.241.43.242 New IP: 92.62.42.211
Hi Richard, I'm just going to update this for you now, the masterdistfiles password would remain the same and you'll be able to use rsync1 again very shortly. Warm Regards, Alex Howells
Updated ACL for rsync1, should be live within 45-60 minutes.
All looks good, closing.

rsync4.no.gentoo.org needs to be updated... rsync4.no.gentoo.org has address 129.241.43.242
(In reply to comment #6) > rsync4.no.gentoo.org needs to be updated... > > rsync4.no.gentoo.org has address 129.241.43.242 > As the gentoo.org DNS is out of scope for what I can do I will take no further action regarding this bug. To prevent having old portage trees sync'ed the service on the old machine (129.241.43.242) will be kept closed.
