+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #214028 +++

/etc/modules.d is long deprecated. Please provide an equivalent /etc/modprobe.d file instead.
Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-22 16:11:23 UTC
Hmmm??? lm_sensors doesn't install anything to /etc/modules.d...
Comment 2 Martin 2008-03-22 16:20:24 UTC
Well, portage printed this:

 * Please file a bug about /etc/modules.d/lm_sensors: it needs an /etc/modprobe.d/lm_sensors

$ equery f lm_sensors | grep /etc

No, but the /usr/sbin/sensors-detect script creates a file in /etc/modules.d to load the modules for the sensors its detects.

Well it doesn't. It's using /etc/conf.d/lm_sensors.
