Oh, and scigraphica-0.8.0 segfaults. But I hoped that -r1 would fix this. So..

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge -u scigraphica

Actual Results:
Compiling stops.
See details.

Expected Results:
emerged
Comment 1 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-12 04:00:12 UTC
please reassign, doesn't seem to be a directly gnome related compile error and besides that we have never touched this ebuild. Reporter please give 'emerge info' output, maybe it's the compiler you are using.
Comment 2 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-15 02:44:13 UTC
Since the reporter did not react for half a year, I'd say let's close this as NEEDINFO
Comment 3 Benedict Verhegghe 2003-12-19 05:17:04 UTC
I experienced exactly the same compilation errors. I also noticed the following errors during the configuration step:
...
Searching for arrayobject.h
./configure: line 7893: test: too many arguments
arrayobject.h location: /usr/include/python2.2/Numeric/ /usr/include/python2.2/numarray/
./configure: line 7899: test: /usr/include/python2.2/Numeric/: binary operator expected
./configure: line 2: /usr/include/python2.2/numarray/: is a directory
...

I have indeed both numeric and numarray installed, and expected this to cause the problem. After unmerging numarray and remerging numeric, scigraphica-0.8.0-r1 emerged without problem. (I checked again with numarray installed, and the problem reappeared).

Running scigraphica still produces a segfault, though (but that's another bug).

Comment 4 Ben Schwartz 2005-01-27 11:59:08 UTC
for scigraphica-0.80-r2, same error:

Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET

I have numarray and numeric both installed.
I suggest this ebuild be marked as being blocked by numarray until the problem is resolved.

In any case, this bug should not be marked "resolved".
