Description John Huttley 2008-01-13 22:30:44 UTC
After upgrading from apache-2.2.6-r5 to apache-2.2.6-r7 it won't start.
the error is
 * Apache2 has detected a syntax error in your configuration files:
Syntax error on line 81 of /etc/apache2/modules.d/00_default_settings.conf:
Invalid command 'Order', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

I've got two sites down, attempting a downgrade at the moment, however one works ok and I can't see why.

Reproducible: Always

There's no mod_access in apache-2.2.x; you have stale configuration files from previous versions in place or failed to run etc-update.
Comment 2 John Huttley 2008-01-13 22:49:46 UTC
the httpd.conf files are very different.
The new one doesn't have any loadmodule statements.
Comment 3 John Huttley 2008-01-13 22:50:57 UTC
Nope, i just overwrite everything except putting -D PHP5 back in apache.conf.
Which is annoying btw.

If you need support, then see http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/support.xml. Thanks.

Bugzilla is for bugs; your misconfiguration and improper upgrade is not an ebuild bug at all.

Ok

I see that http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/apache-upgrading.xml is relevant.

A new set of use flags, sigh
