1. libssh should probably be slotted, since thc-hydra requires libssh-0.11, but one might want the most recent version for other purposes/apps. 2. libssh-0.2 is a later release than libssh-0.11, but portage is treating libssh-0.11 as more recent, and I understand why; but if there's a way to override this behavior on specific cases, it should probably be done here.

Eh, that's a hydra problem, not libssh one. Slotting things is not fun, hydra should be fixed instead. > 2. libssh-0.2 is a later release than libssh-0.11, but portage is treating > libssh-0.11 as more recent, and I understand why; but if there's a way to > override this behavior on specific cases, it should probably be done here. No, there's none, need libssh-0.2 stabilized and all other versions removed. So, what's your request here exactly?
They were all addressed. Thanks.
Well, I guess no point in stabilizing 0.2 while net-analyzer/hydra is the only thing on the official tree that's using this and requires 0.11 spefically. Reopen if you have a patch for hydra or when upstream releases an updated version (no idea if they are still alive).
