Description Kevin O'Gorman 2007-10-19 13:34:43 UTC
I'm about 3/4 through with emerge -eav world, after updating GCC to 4.1.2 from 3.2.6. This ebuild fails with a long list of compile errors.

Reproducible: Always

What on earth do you need this for w/ 2.6.22 kernel? o_O

I have no idea. The same can be said for about 2/3 of the thousand or so packages that are installed. My world file contains less than 300 lines, and some of them are sort of speculative.

I take it from the tone that this has become obsolete. Good, I'll ditch it.

Comment 4 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-20 07:11:22 UTC
devfs is unsupported in kernel since version 2.6.13, so unmerging it sounds like a good idea indeed. :)
