The ebuild for postfix does not include the most usefull doc file INSTALL   
which hints how to configure postfix.   
   
Adding to line 101 of the ebuild INSTALL corrects the issue, making that line:  
 
dodoc *README COMPATIBILITY HISTORY LICENSE PORTING RELEASE_NOTES INSTALL
