Description Pascal Dürsteler 2007-08-29 09:01:33 UTC
I experienced some strange problems while trying to install Gentoo on a virtual machine. VMware ethernet is set to NAT. If i boot a standard gentoo kernel the system receives no ip but when i boot with gentoo-nofb it works without problems.

I tried it two times and got the same results. Don't know if it's a bug which depends on gentoo, on vmware or both but i felt like posting it somewhere =)

Which vmware-modules version is this about? Which kernel version(s) did you try? Also attach your kernel .config.
