sometime in the desktopbar , the Klaptop icon dont see the battery, but it is on. if I write in consolle i read : ACPI Error (psargs-0355): [PBST] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.LPCB.BAT1._BST] (Node c19016a8), AE_NOT_FOUND ACPI Exception (acpi_battery-0207): AE_NOT_FOUND, Evaluating _BST [20060707] many and many times.... Reproducible: Always
This is almost certainly a kernel/bios bug. Kernel bugs 6649, 6909 and 8360 have similar output. Please post your emerge --info and the output of emerge -p klaptop.

the ACPI errors show when in the consolle i write dmesg
Kernel, do you have any ideas about this? I don't even have a laptop. :-)
(In reply to comment #4) > Kernel, do you have any ideas about this? I don't even have a laptop. :-) > what do you say? tha i'ld send this at kernel@gentoo.org or posting my kernel version??
Actually, I just cc'ed our kernel devs to this bug because I think this is a problem with your kernel, Andrea. :-) And, thanks, but we have your kernel version in your emerge --info output already.
If the ACPI layer from kernel isn't exporting required information about your battery, userspace applications can't do much with that. Reassigning to kernel.
Andrea, Can you attempt to reproduce with gentoo-sources-2.6.21-r3 ? Thanks.
Please reopen when newer kernels have been tested.
