on the gdm screen, if i click 'system' then 'configure', i get an error saying "an error occured while loading sg_logo from /usr/share/gdm/gdmsetup.glade ..." (see the attached screenshot for the exact wording). i have not modified that file at all. i just did: ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc" emerge gnome then started gdm as root, then tried to click on 'system' then 'configure'. this machine is currently running gnome-base/gdm-2.4.1.3. (note, although the screenshot shows xnest, i get the same error when i try it on the main gdm log in screen. i used xnest just to take the screenshot.) fyi, on this machine i first ran 'emerge gnome' (and got 2.0.2) and then 'ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc" emerge gnome' (to get 2.2). i wiped the machine and now ran just 'ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc" emerge gnome' and the config at login works correctly. so it looks like this problem only happens when you upgrade gnome?
dunno, can't reproduce. Does the entry look correct in the mentioned file ?
