When I execute a poweroff, my system will not shutdown. The final lines I get are listed below. I then need to manually hold down the power button to kill the power. I have a dell laptop (Latitude D800). This also occurs when I try to reboot my machine. * Removing dm-crypt mappings [ ok ] /etc/init.d/halt.sh: line 132: stop_volumes: command not found * Remounting remaining filesystems readonly ... INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. as root execute poweroff I have flagged this as critical since it would be very nice to reboot/shutdown my machine remotely. Also this is happening to others. I have googled for this and have found these (they are in russian and polish; and it looks like they haven't resolved the problem either). http://gentoo.ru/node/6452 http://groups.google.pl/group/alt.pl.comp.os.linux.newbie/browse_thread/thread/d54f5a494221aa58/c6f1f01ffb233043?lnk=raot Finally I have recently installed gentoo, about 2 weeks ago.
