Description Morten Christensen 2007-04-07 17:54:11 UTC
I just update to gentoo-sources 2.6.19-r5
Linux mythbox 2.6.19-gentoo-r5 #1 SMP Thu Apr 5 08:15:30 CEST 2007 i686 AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3000+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

and now I sometimes have randomly "kernel panics", see URL (http://www.cvmt.dk/~fries/IMG_0543_2.JPG) for more information.
I guess it have something to do with SATA drivers, but I'm not really sure.

Please help...

As little my help is to you, yours is to mine....

relevant info?... what?.. what commands?...
how to document a kernel panic, any tools, any support!?
Comment 5 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-25 17:30:04 UTC
Sorry for lack of specifics. I can't load that URL (it times out), so posting it here would be a good start. Otherwise you could type out the first few lines of the oops message.

I don't know why I bother, but here is the "screenshot"...

Thanks. Please enable CONFIG_KALLSYMS in your kernel .config, and post a new crash dump. It will be much more readable. Also, attaching a photo here is fine.

sorry, I don't really have time to investigate the problem further. I just got a new job, and I'm spending awfully much time on transport....
