Description chad heuschober 2007-03-25 22:50:22 UTC
Included the irTrans driver files for lcdproc as they appear in the source package provided by irTrans.

That source does not compile on my amd64 system but I can't determine if it's specifically related to this driver or just the remaining source they've packaged it with.

The irTrans lcd panel is a very common panel included standard with nearly a dozen different case models (most of which are based off an OrigenAE mediacentre case).

Reproducible: Always

The files shipped by irtrans are coming with a old version of lcdproc (0.4.3), which is not supported anymore.

That said, there is however a more current patch to get irtrans devices running with 0.5.1 [1]. It was not yet accepted upstream, because there are some issues to be resolved. It is, for once, missing documentation. If you feel you can contribute in fixing these issues, please talk back at the lcdproc mailing list.

Also, I cannot test this patch. Please test it and report whether it works. Once it is usable, the patch could be included.

Closing, as neither the original patch author nor bug reporter answered in time.

Reopen if you have a working quality patch that can be included upstream.
