Please find attached libpfring-3.2.1-r1.ebuild and libpfring-3.2.1-r1.tar.bz2. PF_RING is only distributed via CVS so rather than create an ebuild that pulls the current CVS version, I've opted to distribute this as snapshots of the CVS version. This makes it much easier manage the dependency between libpfring, libpcap-pfring, and the kernel module. libpfring-3.2.1-r1.tar.bz2 is the current snapshot for this ebuild and will need to be available on the mirrors. PF_RING is a project to improve packet capture through the use of a new network socket. Using PF_RING requires the pfring library, a pfring enabled (patched) version of libpcap (I'll be posting this ebuild shortly... libpcap-pfring) and a kernel module. ATM I am not creating a ebuild for the kernel module (see discussion at bug: 117898), instead I've added a check to see if the user is using a PF_RING enabled kernel and if not it directs them to instructions for creating one (http://gentoo-wiki.com/Pfring). This should go in net-libs/libpfring and should be hard masked until I'm able to provide updates to the ebuilds of a number of packet capture apps (snort, tcpdump, etc...). Wally

same reason as in bug 117898 applies here Feel free to reopen once upstream has supported tarballs in place, marking LATER until then
