i have rt2500 beta4 driver
i have net-wireless/kismet-2006.04.1
i am unable to reconnect to the network after operating kismet...and kismet is for finding networks...so connecting to it after finding them should work

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.connect to the network using whatever way
2.launch kismet
3.close kismet
4.try to reconnect to the network...it won't work

So port some log, errors or whatever other relevant info? We can't guess.
