We have x86 twice failing (Markus and I) plus one success (neurogeek).
unable to reproduce that bug here :(
(In reply to comment #7) > unable to reproduce that bug here :( How can we help to debug?
(In reply to comment #8) > (In reply to comment #7) > > unable to reproduce that bug here :( > > How can we help to debug? I tried on three different x86 systems. Two failures and one success, I talked to upstream, but we could not find a solution, though he promised me to build a debug version to investigate further...until now I haven't received it.
I had the same 'mid' not defined problem. Removing the SQLite database fixed it for me. Basically, the function insertMachine() inserts a machine (duh) into the DB, then runs a select machine ID to return the ID of said machine. If the insert fails, there is no machine ID to return... thus the error. I don't recall if my patch throws a warning for this or not. For the impatient: I wrote a patch (currently pending) that cleans up most of the DB handling and allows for easier debugging. It can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1602762&group_id=149390&atid=774490
x86 has nothing to do with this anymore as 2.02 won't be fixed that fast (the patch is quite big and for 2.04). This will need more testing. I stay here for comments and feedback.
With the patch and 2.04 I get the following message: Inserting Machine WARNING: No machine ID for 'luna' (127.0.0.1) in DB after insert. Error adding host 'luna' (127.0.0.1) to SQLite database.
seems we don't get anywhere soonish, so let's do this later
2.04 works for me nicely - even after editing 127.0.0.1 aliases in /etc/hosts and trying to scan them.
