Please assign to maintainer-wanted I can't believe that an ebuild for this doesn't exist (or that searching for it in the forums returns no hits at all). This program helps manage cryptographic files systems, similar to cryptsetup-luks, but with two important enhancements. First, it works on files as well as devices (via loopback). Second, it allows non-root users to mount and unmount encrypted filesystems. I will get this into the sunrise overlay in the next day or so.
Created attachment 96891 [details] sys-fs/cryptmount-1.1 initial ebuild
The sunrise overlay now contains this ebuild. To emerge it: emerge -av layman layman -L layman -a sunrise echo 'source /usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf' >> /etc/make.conf echo 'sys-fs/cryptmount-1.1 ~x86' >> /etc/portage/package.keywords emerge -av cryptmount
I have added an ebuild (completely unchanged) for version 1.2 of cryptmount to sunrise. As soon as one of the project leaders reviews it, it will become available for all users to emerge.
Please leave bugs open if the ebuild is in sunrise.

(In reply to comment #5) > sys-fs/cryptmount/cryptmount-1.2.ebuild:RDEPEND="sys-fs/device-mapper > > This is an unsatisfiable dep. Ebuild might need rewriting or pruning ... It obviously does, since it is more than five year old (current version is 4.3). Versions beyond 1.2 (starting with 2.0, if I recall) had an init file which I had no idea how to translate to gentoo (it needed coordination with other init files). So now it seems that libdevmapper is provided by lvm2, so the original dependency is most likely obsolete. I will try to take another look at this soon (I don't think I can get to it this weekend, but I will update it as soon as possible).
It seems that this package is no longer in Sunrise.
