Description Arno Hahma 2006-08-29 06:47:16 UTC
After upgrading cups 1.2.0 to 1.2.2 the web interface (localhost:631) broke completely. Now there are no background, no buttons etc. visible and clicking on them produces mostly no result or html-errors. No special USE -flags apart from the ones below were used.

Comment 1 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-30 18:07:46 UTC
please try to restart cups and tell me if it helps.
Comment 2 Ian Ellis 2006-08-31 14:33:10 UTC
I agree, it really is fubared. If I go to http://localhost:631 I get a "404 Not Found" error, but if I go to http://localhost:631/printers it does list the printers. From there I can start doing administration tasks, but none of the images on the page show and it is simply a white background. It is usable but really does need to be fixed.
Comment 3 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-31 14:37:02 UTC
and you are sure you restarted cups? I really cannot reproduce this here.
Comment 4 Ian Ellis 2006-08-31 16:14:52 UTC
I fixed it. The problem was that I didn't follow all those instructions that portage spit out in the notification because it got updated with a bunch of other things. I downgraded, then upgraded again and followed them this time. So everything's good now.
