During loading the cloop module a kernel panic happens in cloop_init().
sys-fs/cloop is 2.02.1-r1

Please try with vanilla-sources; also check dmesg: you should have a message like:

cloop: Initializing cloop v2.02

... before it goes boom; paste that here. Thanks!

I have no idea why that comes and no intention to debug it. If no one else is interested I suggest to bug upstream about getting this fixed. thanks
