I wondered why imagemagick woudn't build with ghostscript... 6222:configure:44037: checking ghostscript/iapi.h usability 6223-configure:44049: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -c -O2 -march=athlon64 -pipe -fforce-addr -mfpmath=sse -funit-at-a-time -Wall -pthread -I/usr/include/freetype2 conftest.c >&5 6224:conftest.c:221:30: ghostscript/iapi.h: No such file or directory 6225-configure:44055: $? = 1 6226-configure: failed program was: 6227-| /* confdefs.h. */ 6228-|
does not get installed here either and does not do any harm to imagemagick - also you are the only one seeing this. How can I reproduce it and help you find a solution for your problem?

Same here. Well, I'm using ghostscript-gpl, though. I'm missing ghostscript/iapi.h and ghostscript/ierrors.h for instance. I came upon this when watching the compile of imagemagick with 'gs' in USE: ------------------------------------------------------------- Checking for Ghostscript support ------------------------------------------------------------- checking ghostscript/iapi.h usability... no checking ghostscript/iapi.h presence... no checking for ghostscript/iapi.h... no checking ghostscript/ierrors.h usability... no checking ghostscript/ierrors.h presence... no checking for ghostscript/ierrors.h... no checking for gsapi_new_instance in Ghostscript framework... no checking for gsapi_new_instance in -lgs... yes checking if Ghostscript package is complete... no -- some components failed test checking for RSVG... no So ghostscript without headers renders USE=gs useless, at least for imagemagick. Please reopen! Regards Sebastian
