The source tar for the fresh ebuild for tar 1.15.91 seems to unavailable.

All mirrors respond with a 404 (not found), though some mirrors seems unavailable.

Thanks for verifying.

I found it: all http mirrors reply with 404 (still not clear why) and i had a problem with emerge/ftp/wget/authenticating squid..).

Well, if upstream mirrors dislike squid so much that they reply w/ 404 then you probably report it upstream.
